The 2019 Africa Health Exhibition was conducted at the Gallagher Estate on 28-30 May 2019. Synthecon was invited to participate at the exhibition as part of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA).
The exbibition ws attended by thousands of delegates many of whom took time to visit the Synthecon stand. Delegates included surgeons, theatre matrons, scrubbing sisters, HCP procurement staff and distributors from all over the African continent.
Through interactive discussions conducted with the highly trained and experienced Synthecon sales representatives at the stand, delegates were able to receive first hand information on the wide product offering from Synthecon which includes both absorbable and non-absorbable sutures and ligatures from USP size 6 to 10/0. Delegates were also able to get insight into the mitro-valve cardiac sutures which Synthecon is manufacturing and distributing.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity for exhisting customers to engage with the Synthecon sales team and obtain samples of sutures and ligatures that they were not aware of. With delegates from over 20 countries in Africa, visiting the Synthecon stand, it is clear that the continent is ready for an affordable quality product manufactured by Synthecon in Johannesburg, South Africa.
